As part of our dynamic Food Compliance team, the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Specialist (SARA) plays a crucial role in ensuring regulatory and nutritional support throughout the innovation process. Your expertise, interpersonal skills, and drive for success will help create a competitive edge and support business growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and approve label specifications and compliance for local and European markets, ensuring accuracy in claims, ingredient lists, and nutrition data
  • Oversee correct artwork elements, allergen labeling, and claims per JDE standards
  • Advise R&D on compositional requirements, ingredient acceptability, and legal limits in recipes
  • Approve new materials and product specs for regulatory adherence, mainly in Europe
  • Represent JDE in industry associations and track emerging legislation and scientific trends
  • Work closely with the Food Compliance team, Polish & Baltics Management, and external partners
  • Support packaging development, evaluate claims, and assess potential risks

Kwalifikacje

For this role as a Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Specialis, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Higher education in Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Engineering, Food Science, or Nutrition
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the FMCG industry
  • Knowledge of food regulations (current and upcoming changes)
  • Fluent in both English and Polish
  • Good knowledge of IT systems supporting regulatory compliance management
  • Ability to interpret legal regulations and assess their impact on business operations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to shape decision-making processes
  • Ability to solve problems independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic, multitasking environment
  • Experience working in an international team
